AMPAC thanks Voters & Congratulates all Primary Winners:
(Dearborn, August 6, 2020): With the 2020 Primary behind us, the American Arab & Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) would like to thank voters, volunteers and candidates for keeping our democracy alive.
AMPAC congratulates all the winning candidates, especially those who sought our endorsement and support. Although the results weren’t fully promising, your efforts have brought so many people together in unifying a community that is diverse. AMPAC thanks all candidates who ran in this year’s Primary. Especially those whom reached out to the American Arab & Muslim community.
AMPAC is committed to support its candidates through the General elections. The Primary election is over. But, the fight for democracy is not as we approach November 3rd, 2020. We look forward to continue the fight in creating a society of informed and active citizenry through political engagement.
In a democracy, it is important that the political process addresses the needs and concerns of all segments of society.
Despite low voter turnout, AMPAC’s volunteers worked the polls very diligently to make the process as smooth as possible for voters. Looking to the near future, we urge our friends and supporters to vote on November 3rd, 2020 to continue our civic duties and ensure qualified candidates are in place to serve our community.
AMPAC will continue its efforts to encourage people to register to vote as well as to urge all to vote on November 3rd, 2020.
